Our Step-by-Step Process for Engaging Your Students In Work-based Learning Experiences at Scale

  • We Co-Design the Experience With You
  • We work with you to identify the best option for implementing professional experience into your courses - whether it be industry projects, placements or internships.
  • Through our employer network, we'll then engage with companies who would be well placed to host your students on the work experience opportunity.
  • Through conversations with companies, we'll design work experience opportunities with them that are specifically designed to fit the needs of your courses (e.g., the start / end dates, learning outcomes and academic assessment).
  • We Onboard the Students
  • University students and staff will be onboarded onto the 'Impact Platform'.
  • All students are assigned a dedicated ‘Experience Success Coordinator’, who is a member of staff at Impact Consulting who will introduce students to their company to organise the 1st meeting and will be available to students at any time during the experience, for additional support.
  • The Professional Experience Begins
  • Students will have their 1st meeting with their company, which is also attended by their Impact Consulting 'Experience Success Coordinator'
  • Students can access e-learning training content, resources and templates through the Impact Platform to support them during their experience
  • We Oversee the Experience
  • We remain available at all times during the work-based learning experience, should any issues arise
  • University Staff will be able to track the live status of all experiences through our Staff Portal, where they will also be able to view half way company feedback
  • We Ensure a Successful Completion
